Round 01 preview & Senior CAPTAINS
We are thrilled to announce the captain and vice captains of our senior men’s team for 2024, voted by their fellow players and coaches.
Jackson Paine will lead the men’s team in season 2024 for the second year having captained in 2023.
Jackson will have incredible support from three deputies; Lachie Haysman, Will Nichols and Ben Harding.
Georgia Dunlop will captain the women’s team and will be supported by vice captain Claire Fraser.
Our six captains are not only exceptional footballers and leaders, they are exceptional people. They typify OM’s spirit and set an example for all the Men and Women who play for and support our club. Furthermore, they are admired and respected by opposition players and fans across the competition. OMFC cannot wait to see them lead our club on and off the field each and every week this year. Please show them and our entire extended playing group your support this year as they begin their 2024 campaigns.
The 2024 season proper kicks off for our Senior Women’s and Men’s teams as well as our Men’s reserves this Saturday. A number of our new recruits will make their highly anticipated debuts for the club this weekend.
What better way to start the season than with a triple header at Elsternwick Park tomorrow, Saturday April 13!
We are expecting one of the largest Round 01 crowds in recent memory for our Senior Men’s at 2pm. We have officially SOLD OUT the season launch event featuring Tom and Jack Hawkins.
